Presiding Apostle of the Churches of the Apostolic Revival International
Apostle Bennett was born and grew up in Washington, D.C. His parents are the late John A. Bennett, Sr. and living in Washington, D.C., his mom, Mother Melvina Middleton and stepfather, Mr. William Middleton. In 1985 (at that time) Minister Bennett, came to North Carolina Central University pursuing an education in Political Science. While there, he started the Worship, Praise and Inspiration Choir and founded Students for the Apostolic Revival (STAR) Bible organization on campus. He met his wife-to-be, Miss Alice Parker during a choir rehearsal. Their love grew and they were married September 26, 1992. The Lord called Minister Bennett into ministry in 1990 to make a difference for the people beginning in Durham, North Carolina. He continued to grow in the wisdom and anointing of the Lord. Other ministries like Second Chance Church Of Deliverance, seeing this asked to join him in his work for Christ. He is now the Pastor and Founder of the Church of the Apostolic Revival International. He began his divine service to the Lord at a young age in Washington, D.C. under the leadership of Bishop Gary Richardson at Prayer Temple.
He has established and presently oversees Christian churches and evangelists in different cities. He was ordained to the bishopric at the 43rd Holy Convocation of Bible Way Church of our Lord Jesus Christ Worldwide in July 2000. Apostle John A. Bennett is married to First Lady Alice Bennett who compliments her husband with devoted assistance in divine teaching and administering the word of God. In 2004, Apostle Bennett received a Doctorate of Divinity from Victory School of Divinity of Los Angeles, California. Apostle Bennett is Pastor of the Shekinah Glory Church, Washington D.C. and overseer of Blessing Hope C.A.R., Snow Hill, North Carolina, Second Chance Church of Deliverance, Raleigh, North Carolina, and New Generation Church, Raleigh, North Carolina. He is also the Spritual advisor and Pastor of Pastor Davelon Carr of Greater Yeshuwa Temple, Wallace, N.C. As Presider of Elokim Ministries, Apostle Bennett has established a movement that is committed to carrying the gospel around the world. He has moved through cities with the anointing of God severing members from gangs, having prayer rallies, receiving many accolades and awards, including the “Key to the City of Durham” (twice), was named “Honorary Councilman,” induction into the Who's Who of the religious society 2007 as one of the most influential preachers in the Washington, D.C. area.
