Bishop Davelon Carr, B.A. - Senior Pastor and Chief Executive Officer

Pastor Carr, a resident of Teachey, NC, was born on November 28, 1970.  Pastor Carr was baptized in Jesus' name, and filled with the Holy Ghost at age 14 while under the leadership of his late grandfather Bishop James Kenan.  He also became the Minister of Music of his home church, Church of God & True Holiness. At age 19, he accepted his calling into the ministry. In 1993, Pastor Carr received his B.A. in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University, Durham, NC. At the age of 23, Pastor Carr became the pastor of the former Church of God and True Holiness now Greater Yeshuwa Temple. Under his leadership, the “Yeshuwa Conference” was birthed.  In the past, Yeshuwa Conferences have been blessed by the ministry gifts of Dr. Marvin Sapp, Dr. Zachary Tims, Dr. Marcus Bishop, Bishop Lambert Gates, and many other distinguished pastors.  On October 3, 2003, Pastor Carr was concecrated into the Bishopric by Bishop John A. Bennett, a general board Bishop of the Bibleway Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ World-Wide, Inc. at the Elokim Holy Convocation in Durham, NC.  

Today, Pastor Carr is the proud father of four boys:  Davelon Rumal Carr, II., Daelon Ra'sean Carr, Davon Ramon Carr, and Davion Ra'Von Carr.  He is the Spritual father of the entire church body of Greater Yeshuwa Temple.

 


First Lady Elesha Carr

First Lady Elesha Carr, a resident of Teachey, NC, was born on April 14, 1981.  She was baptized in Jesus' name and received the Holy Ghost at New Born Church of God & True Holiness in Rocky Point, NC under the leadership of Bishop George Billie. On April 14, 1999, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Pastor Davelon Carr and became the first lady of the former Yeshuwa Temple Church of God & True Holiness.  Today she is honored to be the first lady of Greater Yeshuwa Temple. First Lady Carr is the founder of the "GYT Girlfriends" ministry that includes women fellowships, Bible studies, and much more.  She is often called upon for counseling and consultations as she has been blessed with the gift of wisdom.

First Lady Carr is a dedicated wife to her husband and mother to her four sons.  She is dedicated to protecting the heart of her husband, and to seeing that the vision that God has given him is fulfilled. 


Victor Love - Elder/Youth Pastor

Elder Victor Love, the son of Perry and Glenda Love of Wallace, NC was born on March 23, 1980 .   He is a resident of Kenansville, NC. Elder Love began his Christian journey at an early age under the leadership of Bishop George Billie at New Born Church of God and True Holiness.  It was there he was baptized in Jesus’ name and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost.  In 1997, Elder Love joined the former Church of God and True Holiness under the leadership of Bishop Davelon Carr and transitioned with the ministry to what is now Greater Yeshuwa Temple.  After joining the ministry, he began to faithfully and dutifully serve on the brotherhood ministry.  In April of 2005 , Elder Love preached his initial sermon entitled "Remembering Past Victories."  In 2008, he was appointed as the first Youth Pastor of Greater Yeshuwa Temple.  He was ordained an Elder of the Church on October 29, 2010 by Bishop Davelon Carr and Bishop Dion Womack. 

Elder Love continues to serve with diligence.   He is the husband of Sis. Raasheda Love and the well respected father of three sons: Ka’Darius Herring, Christen Love, and Victor J. Love.   


Leroy Johnson - Elder

Elder Leroy Johnson, the son of Leroy and Ethel Johnson of Hampstead, NC was born on July 7, 1971.  He is a resident of Beulaville, NC.  Elder Johnson joined the former Church of God and True Holiness under the leadership of Bishop Davelon Carr and transitioned with the ministry to what is now Greater Yeshuwa Temple.  In his early years in the ministry he was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and received the gift of the Holy Ghost.  He served as a deacon and an assistant to the pastor for many years before accepting the call into the Gospel.  On March 12, 2006, Elder Johnson preached his initial sermon entitled “It's Time To Be Delivered.“  He was ordained an Elder of the Church on October 29, 2010 by Bishop Davelon Carr and Bishop Dion Womack. 


Today, Elder Johnson continues to assist the pastor in different facets of the ministry.  He is the husband of Missionary Shelia Johnson and the proud  father of four sons:  Kenneth Sims, Tyreck McFadden, D'Andre Johnson, and Teyshawn Johnson.
